Pianist and music theorist; performances in several European capitals, in Russia, and the US; invited lectures, most recently, at Conservatorium van Amsterdam, Helsinki University, and the Russian Institute for Art History; publications in Music & Letters, Music Theory & Analysis, and Notes, among other journals; presenter and co-organizer at music conferences in Europe and the US; founder & Schenkerian analysis instructor at Tekhnee (Helsinki); visiting scholar in music theory, Sibelius Academy (2011–3); former member of adjunct piano faculty, New York University; regular research visits and professional development activities at Central Music School, Moscow; Fulbright alumnus (piano); primary author of, and regular contributor to, open-source software projects of musicological interest; PhD in piano performance, New York University; piano studies primarily with Distinguished Artist of Russia Viktor Abramov; doctoral coursework in music theory & musicology, CUNY Graduate Center; affiliations with professional societies for music theory, piano pedagogy, and the digital humanities; currently based in Finland and Russia.
